2A Flatirons recap November 19, 2013
Faith Christian moved up to 39 from 66 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 2A Flatirons. The Eagles were able to move up by defeating Brush 24-14.
Faith Christian added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Beetdiggers, 24-14. The win marks eighth in a row for the Blair Hubbard's team.
The Pinnacle's Hector Venegas and Juan Cortez have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-10 quarterback Venegas has thrown for 669 yards this season, while Cortez has 22 catches for 254 yards. Daniel Langewisch from the Eagles leads the league in rushing with 1,557 yards.
Faith Christian made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,945 from 4,353. The advance stemmed from a 24-14 victory over Brush last week.
