            Volleyball Recap: Eagle Valley Devils vs. Glenwood Springs Demons        
        
		
        
        
            For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Eagle Valley and Glenwood Springs meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again  on Tuesday. The Devils fell just short of the Demons by a score of  3-2. The Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Demons apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in October of 2024.
 Eagle Valley took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-18, 20-25, 25-27, 25-18,  15-12.
 Riley Weatherred paced Eagle Valley's offense, picking up 28 kills. Weatherred got some help from  Ansley Hopper and her 33 assists. Weatherred also made an impact serving:  she shared the team lead in aces with  Kaitlyn Garvey, each putting up three.
  Gianna Zambrano was a one-woman wrecking crew For Glenwood Springs. as she  had 29  digs and two  aces. What's more,  Zambrano posted four  assists, the most she's  had since back in October of 2024.
Eagle Valley now  has a losing record of 7-8. As for Glenwood Springs, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record  this season.
 Eagle Valley has already played their next contest,  a  3-2  defeat against Delta on the 9th. As for Glenwood Springs, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  match,  a  3-0  victory against Rifle on the 9th.
