Basketball Recap: El Dorado Christian Takes a Loss

El Dorado Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to the Clinton Christian Academy Patriots on the road by a 40-25 margin. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Buffalos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 43-29 back in January.

Despite the loss, El Dorado Christian still got an impressive performance from McKenzie Cole, who posted 17 points and eight rebounds. Cole is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played. Ashlynn Judd was another key player, putting up two points and six rebounds.

Clinton Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brooklyn Wisniewski, who had 12 points along with five boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Audrey Foster, who went 5 of 10 en route to 10 points and eight rebounds.

El Dorado Christian's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Clinton Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

El Dorado Christian will square off against Varsity Opponent at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. Clinton Christian Academy has already played their next matchup (against Plaza Heights Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
