Football Recap: Jasper Comes Up Short

Jasper fell victim to Beaumont United and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a 14-0 bruising from the Timberwolves. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 13-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Major Armstrong threw for 45 yards on seven of 18 attempts. Raja Garza-Adams was his top target, picking up 34 receiving yards. On the ground, Payton Brooks rushed for 91 yards.

It was another big night for Derrian Anderson, who rushed for 76 yards and one touchdown, and also caught one TD for Beaumont United.

Jasper's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Beaumont United, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jasper will welcome Carthage at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Beaumont United, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Port Arthur Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Timberwolves will need to watch out since the Titans have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
