Volleyball Game Preview: Lakeside Christian Lions vs. Foundation Christian Academy Panthers

Lakeside Christian is 0-10 against Foundation Christian Academy since September of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Lions will take on the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. Lakeside Christian will be strutting in after a victory while Foundation Christian Academy will be coming in after a defeat.

Lakeside Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Brandon Academy as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Scorpions: they've now won eight in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Lakeside Christian was: they took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-13, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Foundation Christian Academy suffered their biggest loss since September 9th last Monday. They lost 3-0 to Seffner Christian. The Panthers have struggled against the Crusaders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-8, 25-21.

Foundation Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Lakeside Christian, their win bumped their record up to 8-16.

Lakeside Christian might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Foundation Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
