Basketball Recap: Rock Falls Takes a Loss

Rock Falls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 66-29 defeat at the hands of the Kewanee Boilermakers. The Rockets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-13.

Rock Falls' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Elizabeth Lombardo, who went 5 for 11 on her way to 16 points, and Miley Bickett, who posted six points and six boards.

Rock Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Kewanee, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.

Rock Falls will head out on the road to challenge Alleman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kewanee, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 49-42 victory against Newman Central Catholic on the 6th.
