Basketball Game Preview: Northside Rams vs. Ramsay Rams

The Northside Rams will head out to square off against the Ramsay Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Northside heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Tuesday. They received a blow as they fell 55-36 to Wenonah. The Rams' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Haley Brooke Lyons, who posted four points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Caroline Jones, who had three points and eight boards.

Even though they lost, Northside smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive rebounds in five consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Ramsay came tearing into Tuesday's game with 13 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Blue Devils by a score of 62-51.

Ramsay pushed their record up to 25-7 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.1 points per game. As for Northside, their loss dropped their record down to 22-6.
