Football Recap: East Davidson Takes a Loss

East Davidson extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-8. They took a 28-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thomasville Bulldogs. If the Golden Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 35-7 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Thomasville, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 30.2 points over those games.

Cordell Moon had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 129 yards on only eight carries. Those 129 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

East Davidson wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 49-10 loss against West Davidson on the 31st. As for Thomasville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 31-9 defeat against Providence Grove on the 31st.
