Football Game Preview: Beverly Panthers vs. Salem Witches

After each having a week off, the Beverly Panthers and the Salem Witches will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Friday, Beverly came up short against Reading Memorial and fell 42-33. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Salem ended up a good deal behind Triton Regional last Thursday and lost 34-18.

Beverly's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Salem, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

Beverly came out on top in a nail-biter against Salem when the teams last played back in November of 2024, sneaking past 35-33. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Witches' Rocco Ryan, who rushed for 179 yards, and also picked up 54 receiving yards.
