Soccer Game Preview: Denver North vs. Rangeview

The Denver North Vikings will take on the Rangeview Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Rangeview took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Denver North, who comes in off a win.

Denver North's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Hinkley 10-0. Considering Denver North have won five games by more than three goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Hinkley from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Pearl Phillips led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Rangeview fell victim to Thomas Jefferson and their airtight defense on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans. Rangeview have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Denver North has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 32 goals over those six contests. As for Rangeview, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

Denver North took their victory against Rangeview when the teams last played back in May of 2023 by a conclusive 9-0 score. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
