Volleyball Recap: Walnut Comes Up Short

Walnut was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Katella Knights. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2018.

Walnut now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Katella, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.

Walnut wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Fullerton on the 13th. As for Katella, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Whittier Christian on the 13th.
