Volleyball Recap: Castlewood Comes Up Short

Castlewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Colman-Egan C-E Hawks. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the C-E Hawks when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Colman-Egan scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 18-25, 25-17, 25-17.

Castlewood's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Colman-Egan, their win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Castlewood will square off against St. Mary at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Colman-Egan, they will be playing at home against Chester at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
