Soccer Game Preview: Piedmont vs. Stillwater

The Piedmont Wildcats will head out to square off against the Stillwater Pioneers at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Piedmont's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Tuesday, Piedmont had just enough and edged out Sapulpa 2-1. Given Piedmont's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma soccer rankings (they are ranked 24th, while Sapulpa are ranked 85th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Stillwater earned a 3-1 win over Jenks on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Stillwater.

Piedmont has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3-1 record this season. As for Stillwater, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 5-7-2.
