Football Recap: Fairview Starts Season with Win on the Road

Fairview had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 28-21 victory over the Slippery Rock Rockets. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Joey O'Reilly had a dynamite game, rushing for 131 yards and two touchdowns. Those two rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

Looking ahead, Fairview will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Grove City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Slippery Rock, they will head out to face off against Franklin at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
