Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wilkes-Barre). Their defense stepped up to hand the Greater Nanticoke Area Trojans a 9-0 shutout on Friday. Wilkes-Barre haven't had any issues with Greater Nanticoke Area recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Wilkes-Barre's offense was hitting Greater Nanticoke Area from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Johnny Mendola led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Wilkes-Barre's win bumped their record up to 7-4-2. As for Greater Nanticoke Area, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10-2.
