Basketball Game Preview: Whitehouse Wildcats vs. Cumberland Academy Knights

The Whitehouse Wildcats will be taking part in a tournament against the Cumberland Academy Knights at 2:15 p.m. on Friday. Whitehouse has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with five straight losses, while Cumberland Academy will come in with three straight victories.

It was a proper cat-fight when Whitehouse duked it out withHallsville on Friday. Whitehouse fell 55-45 to Hallsville. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 727th, while the Bobcats are ranked 223rd).

Meanwhile, Cumberland Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Kilgore on Thursday, but they still walked away with a 42-36 win.

Whitehouse's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Cumberland Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9.
