Baseball Game Preview: Clay City Eels vs. North Central Thunderbirds

Clay City is on a seven-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and North Central a seven-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Clay City Eels will be playing in front of their home fans against the North Central Thunderbirds at 5:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Clay City is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Sullivan on Saturday. They lost 10-1 to the Golden Arrows. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eels have suffered since May 3, 2024.

Meanwhile, North Central came up short against Owen Valley on Thursday and fell 6-3.

North Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Clay City, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
