Volleyball Recap: Hockaday Falls Despite Big Games from Mila Haffar and Emily Boomstra

Hockaday lost against Flower Mound back in August of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Daisies lost 3-0 to the Jaguars. The Daisies' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Hockaday's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Emily Boomstra, who had 15 digs and two assists, and Mila Haffar, who had ten digs and one block. Boomstra is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season.

Hockaday's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Flower Mound, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2.

Hockaday wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against McKinney Boyd on the 15th. As for Flower Mound, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Allen on the 15th.
