Softball Game Preview: Lisbon Panthers vs. Moultonborough Academy Panthers

Lisbon is 0-7 against Moultonborough Academy since May of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. Lisbon is taking a road trip to challenge Moultonborough Academy at 4:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Friday, Lisbon made easy work of Gorham and carried off a 14-2 win.

Meanwhile, Moultonborough Academy beat Littleton 11-6 on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

The team relied heavily on Evelynn Buy, who went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases and two runs. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.5 stolen bases per game. Sammy Nagle was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

The victory got Moultonborough Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Lisbon, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Lisbon might still be hurting after the 30-18 loss they got from Moultonborough Academy in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can Lisbon avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
