Ocoee and Winter Haven squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Ocoee had to settle for second. They lost 65-41 to the Winter Haven Blue Devils. The Knights' loss signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.

Ocoee's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dakara Merthie, who posted 19 points and six boards. That was a full 46.3% of Ocoee's points, marking the third time in a row Merthie has put up more than a third of the team's points. Kylie Holden was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds.

Serenity Hardy continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Winter Haven, shooting 60% from beyond the arc to rack up 28 points and three steals. The last time Hardy's three-point shooting accuracy was this high was back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Quin'Nya Gray De Sanders, who went 8-for-13 en route to 16 points and four steals.

Ocoee's loss dropped their record down to 25-4. As for Winter Haven, the win (which was their 18th in a row) raised their record to 26-2.

Ocoee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Winter Haven, they have already played their next match, a 45-42 victory against Dr. Phillips on the 8th.
