St. Mary Catholic Central added to the longest winning streak in Huron this week by beating Richard, 44-40. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Falcons/Kestrels.
St. Mary Catholic Central made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,968 from 2,254. The advance stemmed from a 44-40 victory over the Fighting Irish last week.
6-foot-1 quarterback Robert Kanitz of Milan is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,213. He has also thrown 12 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Tyler Olson. The Huron star has 25 catches for 663 yards.
Jack Giarmo's team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 44 points on Richard.
