There's no place like home for Godby, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Bay Tornadoes on Thursday as the Godby Cougars made off with a 62-36 win. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 26 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Godby to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kenijah Clayton, who went 8 for 15 on her way to 21 points and five steals. The contest was Clayton's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Logan Cornelius was another key player, going 5 of 9 en route to 15 points in addition to six boards and six steals.

Godby smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

Godby is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.0 points per game. As for Bay, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.

Godby won't have much time to rest: their next game is against P.K. Yonge at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Godby is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.8 points per game this season. As for Bay, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll face off against Destin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bay is facing Destin at the right time seeing as Destin is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
