Softball Recap: Butler Victorious

Butler came out on top against Versailles on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run second inning. The Bears skirted past the Tigers 9-7. The Bears have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Taylor Hudson was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Kadyn Cook was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Butler kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March.

Butler now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Versailles, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Coming up, Butler will be playing in front of their home fans against Green Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Versailles, they will face off against El Dorado Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
