Soccer Game Preview: Houston Math Science & Tech vs. Wisdom

The Houston Math Science & Tech Tigers will head out to take on the Wisdom Generals at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.

Houston Math Science & Tech is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Westside on Wednesday. Houston Math Science & Tech came up short against Westside, falling 3-0. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Wisdom entered their tilt with Bellaire on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cardinals, sneaking past 2-1. Given the Generals' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Cardinals are ranked 563rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Wisdom has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-1-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five matchups. As for Houston Math Science & Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5-3.
