Soccer Recap: Oliver Springs Comes Up Short

Oliver Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 8-0 to the Oneida Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Oliver Springs of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2019.

Oliver Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Oneida, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-7-1.

Coming up, Oliver Springs will face off against Campbell County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oliver Springs will be up against Campbell County's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.08 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Oneida, they will challenge Rockwood at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
