Baseball Recap: Branchville Comes Up Short

Branchville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Cane Bay Cobras, falling 10-2. If the Yellow Jackets were looking for revenge after losing 10-3 to the Cobras when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Branchville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chayse Lytle, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most RBI Lytle has posted since back in April of 2024.

Branchville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Cane Bay, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coming up, Branchville is taking a road trip to square off against Calhoun Academy at 6:00 p.m. on March 10th. As for Cane Bay, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bluffton at 6:30 p.m. on March 10th.
