Making Waves Academy had won five straight games and Ollie Obinyan did his part to make it six on Monday. The Making Waves Academy Marlins came out on top against the California Crosspoint Rams by a score of 68-60 thanks in part to Obinyan, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 14 boards. He has been hot, having posted 17 or more points the last eight times he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Sebastian Marquez, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 16 rebounds. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024.

Making Waves Academy pushed their record up to 13-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for California Crosspoint, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Making Waves Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 51-43 win against Contra Costa Christian on the 28th. California Crosspoint has also already played their next game, a 78-61 loss against Redwood Christian on the 28th.
