Soccer Game Preview: Northwest vs. Trinity

The Northwest Texans will face off against the Trinity Trojans at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Northwest's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for ten straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Tuesday, Northwest came up short against Byron Nelson and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, Northwest can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 270th, while Byron Nelson are ranked 66th).

Meanwhile, Trinity fell victim to V.R. Eaton and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 1-0. That's two games in a row now that Trinity have lost by just one goal.

Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6-2. As for Trinity, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8-1.
