Softball Recap: Three Straight Home Wins for Live Oak

Live Oak won against Chalmette on Saturday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Eagles beat the West Monroe Rebels by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 8-4. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2023.

The team relied heavily on Taylor MaTTingly, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Live Oak's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-15. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for West Monroe, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-17.

Live Oak will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rebels: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Wednesday.
