Melrose is a perfect 9-0 against Dora since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Buffaloes will venture away from home to face off against the Coyotes at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Melrose has nine straight wins, Dora has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Melrose barely beat Elida the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Buffaloes were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Tigers on Tuesday.

Melrose was especially dominant in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-21, 25-12.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Dora and Lake Arthur had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Coyotes fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday.

Dora wouldn't go down easily and took Lake Arthur into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-16, 20-25, 21-25, 15-13.

Dora's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Melrose, their victory bumped their record up to 16-2.

Melrose took their win against Dora in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Buffaloes since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
