Liberty has gone 8-2 against Deer Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Liberty Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Deer Valley Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Liberty has 17 straight victories, Deer Valley has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Friday, Liberty beat Freedom 74-65. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while the Falcons are ranked 412th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Deer Valley played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Heritage and fell 85-54. The Wolverines were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-18.

Liberty will need focus on slowing down Carter Williams, one of several Deer Valley players who made an impact when they last played. He posted 18 points. Another player making a difference was Josh Bickham, who had 13 points.

Liberty pushed their record up to 22-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.9 points per game. As for Deer Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-18.

Everything came up roses for Liberty against Deer Valley when the teams last played back in January, as the team secured a 95-28 victory. Will Liberty repeat their success, or does Deer Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
