Basketball Recap: Rossview Drops Season-High Score on Sycamore

There's no place like home for Rossview, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They blew past the Sycamore War Eagles 84-61 on Monday. The Hawks' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Rossview was led to victory by Jiyair Rose and Coleman Padgett. Rose went 8-for-14 to rack up 23 points and five assists, while Padgett shot 62% from the field on his way to 20 points and five steals. The contest was Rose's fifth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Linkoln Schwass, who posted 11 points.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Rossview was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Sycamore lost, don't look at Carter Wallace. Despite the final result, he shot 45% from the field en route to 24 points. With that strong performance, Wallace is now averaging an impressive 15.5 points per game. Landen Arndt was another key player, going 6-for-11 on his way to 13 points and seven rebounds.

The victory got Rossview back to even at 2-2. As for Sycamore, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Rossview didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-34 win against Cheatham County Central on the 25th. As for Sycamore, they will square off against Creek Wood at 7:30 p.m. on December 2.
