Basketball Recap: Eagle Academy Comes Up Short

Eagle Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the New Dorp Central Cougars, falling 69-30. Having soared to a lofty 63 points in the game before, Eagle Academy couldn't push the score so high this time.

Eagle Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for New Dorp, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Eagle Academy is taking a road trip to take on Old Bridge at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. New Dorp and Petrides will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. New Dorp will be up against Petrides' rather soft defense (which has allowed 58.25 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
