Volleyball Recap: Trumann Takes a Loss

Trumann was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Westside Warriors, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-13, 25-12.

Mattyx Cureton was a one-woman wrecking crew For Westside. as she had 28 assists and two aces. Cureton is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 23 every time she's taken the court this season.

Trumann's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Westside, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Trumann wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Little Rock HomeSchool on the 13th. As for Westside, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Russellville on the 13th.
