Recap: Crofton Warriors vs. Wynot Blue Devils
Even though the Wynot Blue Devils scored an imposing 58 points on Saturday, the Crofton Warriors still came out on top. Crofton snuck past Wynot with a 63-58 win. That's two games straight that Crofton has won by exactly five points.
Crofton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jace Foxhoven out in front who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Seth Pinkelman, who scored 13 points.
Defeat or not, Wynot got some senior leadership from Dylan Heine who scored 18 points and Chase Schroeder who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. The matchup was Schroeder's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zack Foxhoven, who scored nine points along with three steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Crofton and bumps their season record up to 5-6. As for Wynot, their loss dropped their record down to 7-2.
Crofton and Ponca will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Ponca is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Wynot, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Tri County Northeast. Hopefully Tri County Northeast focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday.
