Basketball Recap: Chatham Central Drops Season-High Score on Gates County

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Chatham Central had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Gates County Red Barons as they made off with an 88-62 victory. The Bears' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Reid Albright continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 28 points and 11 boards. He has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 46 times he's played. Brennen Oldham was another key player, shooting 60% from the field on his way to 17 points and four blocks.

Chatham Central's record is now 22-4. As for Gates County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.

Chatham Central will be playing at home against Wilson Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wilson Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 contests -- so hopefully Chatham Central likes a good challenge. Gates County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
