Basketball Recap: Harrells Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Harrells Christian Academy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to eight on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-2. They came up short against the Coastal Christian Centurions, falling 34-9. The Crusaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Centurions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.

Despite the loss, Harrells Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Riley Dixon, who posted three points and six rebounds.

Coastal Christian's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since December 4, 2024 (when they won 51-5).

Among those leading the charge was Evie Munroe, who earned 18 points. Those 18 points gave her a new career-high.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harrells Christian Academy will face off against Northwood Temple Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Crusaders' defense better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 52.5 points per game this season. As for Coastal Christian, they will square off against American Leadership Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
