Volleyball Recap: Mansfield Christian Wins Going Away Against New London

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ashland, Mansfield Christian was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the New London Wildcats. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Flames as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

The victory didn't come easy: New London scored at least 20 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-20, 25-22.

McKenzie Webb was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 20 digs and seven aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September.

They weren't the only good servers: Mansfield Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as New London only served two.

When it comes to explaining why New London lost, don't look at Hailie Pylant. Despite the final result, she had 12 digs.

Mansfield Christian now has a winning record of 12-11. As for New London, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-12.

Looking ahead, Mansfield Christian will challenge Buckeye Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. New London does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
