The third road matchup was the charm for Ellsworth, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They put the hurt on the John Bapst Memorial Crusaders with a sharp 9-1 win on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-1 last Tuesday.

Ellsworth saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddie Damon, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Mya Schildroth also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-4. As for John Bapst Memorial, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-4.

Coming up, Ellsworth will welcome Hermon at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Hawks will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for John Bapst Memorial, they will venture away from home to challenge Old Town at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
