Softball Recap: Northview Comes Up Short

Northview and Edgewood squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Northview had to settle for second. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. The Knights' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Northview saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maggie Krause, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple.

Northview's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Edgewood, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 26-4.

Northview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Edgewood, they will take on Cascade at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Mustangs 1.3, the Cadets 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
