Basketball Recap: Broadwater Academy Comes Up Short

Broadwater Academy suffered their biggest loss since February 2, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against the StoneBridge Cavaliers, falling 42-19. The Vikings have struggled against the Cavaliers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Kacey Ford was Broadwater Academy's leading scorer, having posted 11 points. Adrianna Holloway held things down on the boards with four rebounds. Leah Smith took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Broadwater Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for StoneBridge, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-1.

Broadwater Academy will welcome Atlantic Shores Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for StoneBridge, they will take on Hampton Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Hampton Christian Academy has won four straight at home, while StoneBridge won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
