Baseball Recap: Evergreen Comes Up Short

Evergreen lost against Cedarcrest two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wolverines fell 9-4 to the Red Wolves.

Wilder Amechazurra made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Evergreen is 4-1 when Amechazurra posts two or more runs, but 7-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Quincy Eastman, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Evergreen has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season. As for Cedarcrest, they pushed their record up to 19-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Evergreen does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cedarcrest, they will square off against Sultan at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
