Basketball Game Preview: Howard Huskies vs. Cross Creek Razorbacks

The Howard Huskies and the Cross Creek Razorbacks will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Thursday, Howard was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 35-31 to Harlem. The match marked the Huskies 's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Cross Creek played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Baldwin, falling 63-29. While losing is never fun, the Razorbacks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 241st, while the Braves are ranked 57th).

Cross Creek's loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-6. As for Howard, they dropped their record down to 4-3 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
