Harlingen piles up the points against Tournament Opponent

Recap: Harlingen Cardinals vs. Tournament Opponent

The Harlingen Cardinals came tearing into Thursday's matchup with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 66-23 win over Tournament Opponent on the road. Harlingen might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won six contests by 23 points or more this season.

Harlingen was led to victory by Aiden Flores and Ashton Barajas. Flores scored 11 points, while Barajas scored 13 points. Joaquin Cisneros was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.

Harlingen has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. As for Tournament Opponent, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 27-102.

Harlingen's road trip will continue as they head out to face Miller at 7:00 p.m. on December 7th. Miller will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 832nd, while Harlingen is ranked 162nd). As for Tournament Opponent, they will face off against Snowflake at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Snowflake focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Wednesday.
