Softball Game Preview: Mt. Blue Cougars vs. Brunswick Dragons

The Mt. Blue Cougars will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Brunswick Dragons at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Brunswick took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Mt. Blue, who comes in off a win.

Mt. Blue is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Mt. Ararat. The Cougars had just enough and edged out the Eagles 6-5 on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Brunswick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 14-2 to Lincoln Academy.

Julianna Morin made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Addison Smith, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases.
