Basketball Recap: Douglass Takes a Loss

Douglass came up into this matchup off a tough 44-point defeat last Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Mt. Zion Bulldogs by a score of 34-32 on Tuesday. The Astros were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 41-27.

Douglass dropped their record down to 6-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Mt. Zion, their win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-16.

Douglass will face off against Cedar Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mt. Zion, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against North Clayton at 6:00 p.m.
