The Braden River Pirates's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They escaped with a win against Southeast by the margin of a single free throw, 43-42. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Braden River also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Southeast lost, one person who can't be blamed is Azharia Jones. Despite the final result, she scored 11 points.
Braden River's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-7. As for Southeast, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.
Braden River will head out on the road to challenge Port Charlotte at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southeast, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Sarasota at 6:00 p.m.
