Soccer Recap: Riverbend Continues Road Dominance on Monday

Riverbend kept a clean sheet against Mountain View on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Wildcats 1-0. The win was all the more spectacular given Riverbend's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 75th, while Mountain View are ranked 11th).

Riverbend's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-7-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those six contests. As for Mountain View, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-2-1.
