Baseball Game Preview: Bolivar Liberators vs. Buffalo Bison

For the second straight game, Bolivar will face off against Buffalo. Bolivar will challenge Buffalo at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bolivar has five straight victories, Buffalo has 28 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Bolivar had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Buffalo on Friday. Bolivar put the hurt on Buffalo with a sharp 13-1 win. That looming 13-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Liberators yet this season.

Kanton Fisher made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in earned runs (zero). He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Garretson Cook was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gannon Young, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Bolivar hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in three consecutive matches.

Buffalo's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Bolivar, their record now sits at 5-0.
