Softball Recap: Mayo Gets the Win

The Mayo Spartans were able to grind out a solid win over the Sauk Rapids-Rice Storm on Saturday, taking the game 7-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

Mayo's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Sauk Rapids-Rice, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Mayo beat the Storm by a score of 7-4 later that day.
